Sirloin Prawn Crayfish Ramen
SIRLOIN, PRAWN, CRAYFISH RAMEN
Ingredients
- 1 packet of your favorite ramen noodles including seasoning packet
- 4-6 oz beef sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
- 6-8 prawns peeled and deveined
- 4-6 crayfish tails shelled
- 1-2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger minced or grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1-2 cups vegetables e.g., bok choy, mushrooms, scallions, bean sprouts
- Optional garnishes: sesame seeds chili flakes, soft-boiled egg
Instructions
- Thinly slice the beef sirloin.
- Peel and devein the prawns.
- Shell the crayfish tails.
- Mince the garlic and ginger.
- Wash and chop the vegetables.
- Cook the Ramen Noodles:
- Cook the ramen noodles according to the package directions, discarding some of the water.
- Set the cooked noodles aside, keeping a little of the noodle cooking water.
- Cook the Beef and Seafood:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the sliced beef sirloin and cook quickly, stirring constantly, until browned on all sides (about 1-2 minutes).
- Add the prawns and the crayfish tails, and cook until the prawns are pink and the crayfish is heated through.
- Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil.
- Stir to combine.
- Add Vegetables and Noodles:
- Add the vegetables to the skillet and cook until they are tender-crisp.
- Add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet, along with the seasoning packet from the ramen.
- Add a little of the reserved noodle cooking water if the mixture seems too dry.
- Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve:
- Transfer the ramen to bowls.
- Garnish with sesame seeds, chili flakes, or a soft-boiled egg, if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier ramen, add a dash of chili oil or sriracha.
You can use other types of seafood, such as scallops or mussels.
Customize the vegetables to your liking.
If you do not have oyster sauce, you can add a little bit of brown sugar instead.
Make sure to not overcook the seafood, or it will become rubbery.
