3 Marinades

A selection of 3 types of Marinades that are a must have at all BRAAIS

Ingredients
  

  • Spicy Herb & Garlic Marinade
  • Great for: Chicken wings lamb chops, steak
  • Ingredients:
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme chopped
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Sweet & Smoky BBQ Marinade
  • Great for: Pork ribs beef brisket, sausages
  • Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce or ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard optional
  • African-Inspired Peri-Peri Marinade
  • Great for: Chicken whole or pieces, fish
  • Ingredients:
  • 2 –3 red chilies or peri-peri sauce to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth. Pour over meat and marinate for at least 1 hour (4+ hours preferred).
